Uji Karakteristik Biochar dengan Pendekatan Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS)

Abstrak. Proximate analysis dan elemental merupakan dua dari beberapa metode yang umum digunakan untuk uji jaringan tanaman. Namun, tersebut butuh waktu, tenaga, bahan kimia, biaya mahal serta tidak real time. Sehingga para pakar mencari alternatif lain, yaitu menggunakan Spektroskop sinar infra merah dekat (Near Infrared Spectroscopy, NIRS) memprediksi kandungan unsur terkandung dalam tanah maupun NIRS bekerja dengan panjang gelombang 780 nm - 2500 atau jumlah per 12.800 cm−1 hingga 4.000 cm−1. Komposisi pada sampel dihasilkan pantulan infrared setelah diberikan radiasi infrared. Metode penelitian pembanding membandingkan hasil analisis proximate. Regresi liner (Principal Component Regression, Partial Least Square Regression) sebagai data aktual estimasi spektrum NIR. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Near Spectroscopy (NIRS) belum dapat menggantikan proximate biochar. Estimasi Regression menghasilkan nilai lebih aktual, bila dibandingkan Principal Regression. Hal ini dikarenakan masih kurang cukup terbukti prediksi NIR tergolong sufficient performance.
